The arena of leadership development has many faces.  Recent developments in leadership training (such as the popularity of books like Emotional Intelligence and Primal Leadership) have placed a new emphasis in Janet’s arena of strength: relational leadership.  Janet especially enjoys building teams, facilitating vision, and assisting individuals in becoming better leaders through developing greater self-awareness and empathy. 

As with retreat work and spiritual direction, her expertise is in inspiring and drawing out the creativity, ideas, energy, wisdom, voice, story, and insight already inherent in the individual and/or group.  She has several years experience using her listening skills, knowledge base, creative experiential learning approaches, and spiritual direction sensitivities in a focused small group format. Clients learn through instruction, experience, reflection, group conversation, and observation. She offers teams new tools for ongoing, ever-expanding growth.  Janet is available to work in both the business and church context.
